Word on the street is that I am going to be able to bring home my old Mystery Machine soon...

There has been a great deal of progress by our friends over at Spoolin' Enterprise, you heard correctly, it's coming home soon. There has been a tremendous amount of progress since I last wrote anything about it. You may even be newer to the story thus having NFC what I am talking about...

Allow me to catch you up with a brief summary. Years ago I was guided to a gentleman who assisted me in finding and purchasing a 1997 Nissan Skyline GTR V-Spec. Some of my close friends are part of the Z Club and have been for many, many years. We made a trip up to Branson, MO where they introduced me to Spoolin' Enterprises who is transforming my R33 into a gloriously modified work of art! So here are pictures:

Measurements are taken.

My good friend Terry and I drive the R33 up to Missouri to rent a car, deliver the R33, eat, shit and get back on the road home. We do this successfully. Now this was a great trip, it really was. As I have stated before, 99% of the time while traveling I explore places that create their own fermented beverages. This time we feasted upon scrumptious vittles while resolving our parchedness with the freshly fermented refreshments from Lost Signal Brewing, it was a most delightful time enjoyed before beginning the return trek to DFW. I ordered some food and a flight of beers thus settling my angry stomach so I could begin the drive back to the metroplex. I took the first half and Terry took the second stretch.

After the drop off Spoolin' Enterprise begins turning wrenches and making quick, professional progress in the R33 transformation. One of the many good aspects about working with these guys is that they not only have a passion for performance motorsports but also a deep seated love for NISMO. Don't get me wrong, they are VERY capable of working on any manufacturer of vehicle they just have a strong love for NISMO and experience on Skylines which is a crucial key trai needed for my project. It also means they will do it right. They also happen to be very fair with the cost.

After pulling out everything from the engine bay it needed to be treated and prepared for it's future work. That means it needs to be treated to prevent rust and hold paint for the longevity while remaining easy on the eyes. Plus this is going to be MY Mystery Machine so we have to work with the colors accordingly

After these the colors were discussed, work was continued...

Things are looking good! Progress is being made and the finish is right around the corner. That means I will be making my way to back to Spoolin' Enterprise to bring home my Skyline, I look forward to adjusting to the new responses of my future Mystery Machine. Next step is paint job and interior, one step closer...

Go check out the other work Spoolin' Enterprises have done on the website or Instagram.
